Under The Arches

2012

One of the great success stories in Buffoons history, Under The Arches was recorded in 2012 with the express purpose of submitting the entire album for consideration to Best of College A Capella and Voices Only, the two major college acapella yearly compilation albums. The list of groups lucky enough to be chosen is not long, and after a lot of hours of hard work, the 2012 Foons pulled it off, with The Great Debate being selected for Voices Only 2012 and BOCA 2013.

The album title and artwork are an obvious homage to the time-honored Buffoons tradition of Arches. After almost every rehearsal, the Buffoons take the walk to the arches by the UMC fountains, and perform a short set, usually only three or four songs. While COVID may have put a halt to this temporarily, we can say that Arches is still very much a part of the rehearsal schedule, and will be for a very long time.
